I recently watched the movie Ray and am convinced that it really should be called "Ray Charles: the asshole years".

Movin' to Iowa

We will be moving to Grinnell, Iowa this summer. Tammy acquired a tenure track position in the Philosophy dept. at Grinnell College. Never heard of it? Neither had I, but it is a well ranked Liberal Arts College in the middle of Iowa. Had we not driven thru Iowa last summer I probably would be dreading the idea, but I think we will like it. Iowa is actually a very nice state, a well maintained garden area sandwicheed in-between Nebraska(ugly flat land netherworld) and Illinois (nice but driving thru wasn't that well maintained and what is with all the road construction?)

Mission Statement

I've toyed with the idea of doing a blog for a while, but realized I never really have much to say. But I have had many requests for pics of the family so I thought that is reason enough to jump into this realm where everyone feels compelled to give their overbloated opinion of everything.
